Crate and Nibble

Hey hey! You know what’s great about having your own blog? You get to talk about whatever you want! Today, I want to talk about crates.

I have a crate and I LOVE IT! My human momma leaves the door open and I like to go in and out. I go in the crate and then I go out the crate…in the crate…and then out the crate. Then, when I’m tired from all the back and forth, I take a nap in it! I don’t have to go in there, and sometimes I don’t, but I love it. It’s like a place to call my own – Reggie’s Crate! I have blankets and pillows and toys and it’s so comfy in there. I even have a roommate. His name is Nibble. Know why his name is nibble? Cause I love to nibble on him and carry him all over the house and back to my crate. He takes naps with me and we discuss important topics like snacks and if I get scared at night, Nibble is always there to make me feel better. He sure is a pal.

In fact I think I’ll go grab Nibble now and bury him in under some blankets for safe-keeping. See ya later – 10-4 – over and out!

Love,

Reggie

    Reggie,

You’re absolutely adorable. I made a donation towards your surgery and I pray you come through with a full recovery. I would love to make my home yours when you’re ready for adoption. You’d have a big sister to look after you and love you too!

    Take care!

    Kim

  3. Char says:

Just love this little guy. I’d love to adopt him, I know my Murphy would love him too. She loves everyone.

I wish I could adopt all his little friends.

Keep those stories coming….just need to know he’s doing alright.

  4. Susan MacDuffee says:

Has Reggie had his surgery yet? When I first saw him I wished that I lived in DC and could adopt him. My family has 2 Jack Russell Terriers, Lucy and Brandy. I am sure that Reggie would love them. Our best wishes to Reggie.

Reggie it sure sounds like you found someone to keep you company in your crate. Don’t tire yourself out running so much you have a safe and happy place no.

  10. Toni says:

Hello Reggie, how are you? You are so cute, I wish I can take you home and you can be with me for the rest of your life but I can’t…. :-(

My apartment home can not have any pets but the apartment manager is trying to over turn the policy allowing that any one who is interested on having a pet, can have small pets!

Once the policy is enforced….I will let you know.
I will help donate to help you meal as soon as I can. Money is kind of low and rough these days but I will try to help you so some of the money can help you heal so you can be healthy and walk correctly.

Love You Reggie - Your #1 Fan! :-)

Sorry for typing too fast…I meant to say on the above paragraph…HEAL instead of MEAL

I will help donate to help you HEAL as soon as I can. Money is kind of low and rough these days but I will try to help you so some of the money can help you heal so you can be healthy and walk correctly.

Hey Reggie, I hope your feeling great today… I sure do wish I live closer to you, so I can come and see you each and every day. But Im in Orlando, Florida and I have 4 dogs of my own. I love them like my own children. They are all my pride and joy. All my dogs have there Crates also and they love them also. I hope that someone good comes along and adopt you and take you to a new home. I would adopt you in a heart beat.

  14. Adrianne Deschler says:

Reggie is so cute I just want to eat him! Figuratively of course. :) He reminds me of my 2 year old Rat Terrier, Oreo. They even look the same. I hope the surgery is a success and he can run like my little guy. Keep the blogs coming Reggie, I love reading about your adventures.

  15. Janice Giampaoli says:

    Reggie,

You sound like an absolute doll, and you look like one too. You are such a sweet puppy, and I’m glad you have a home you can retire to for private time, and a friend, Nibbles, that you can talk to and discuss important topics with. Have a great day, and me and my 5 canine fur children send you our love, hugs and kisses.

    Janice

  16. Clarissa says:

Hi Reggie! Your crate sounds really cool! My doggies don’t like crates so they just run around the house or outside when it is warm out.

Nibble sounds like a great friend. You take care of Nibble and yourself too. Be a good puppy for your human momma! :)

  17. Hmmmm. Nibble would never survive around here. Our dogs tear the stuffing out of everything, even catnip toys. But hopefully Nibble will have a long and happy time as your friend and confidant, Reggie.

  18. Betty Jurkowski says:

    Reggie,

    You are TOO cute, sweetie!

  19. Luchiano, Picollo & Bryon Spence says:

I know what you are talking about Reggie… We have lots of toys that we share among the 3 of us. As much as we love our toys the greatest joy we experince when our human Mommy, Daddy and our brother leave is having eachother. We play with our toys nuzzle wrestle and do a lot of fun things together and we never feel alone. Ask your Mommy if she can adopt another homeless dog so you will have the joyful experience that we have everyday.

  20. Michelle says:

Congratulations Reggie. I am glad you have your own place and a place to go for ‘me’ time. So many other dogs and cats out there can’t say the same. Keep up the good work with your blog. I know the problem was bad before, but now that so many people are out of work, they are abandoning and dumping their animals. Can you think of any way that we can help them? I for one am thinking of setting up a cat rescue shelter as soon as I can get a piece of property in the countryside away from the hustle and bustle and busy roads. But I have been seeing a bunch of dogs out there as well. What do you recommend? Thanks again!

  21. ALMA GASPAR says:

  23. Susan T. says:

Dear Reggie, You sure are cute! I bet you do a lot of running. Is your leg better? I sure hope so. I’m glad you like your crate. It’s nice to have a space you can call your own isn’t it? I hope you grow bigger and stronger each day. I have 3 dogs and they didn’t have a good start to their lives either. Now they are with me and my husband and are doing great. Spoiled kind of like you are, huh? You take care and don’t wear your human momma out ok?
    Susan

  24. hannah says:

  25. Christina Roberts says:

Hi, my name is Daisy. I am a Westie. I was adopted from an SPCA by my humans. They bought me a nice bed and I also have a crate that they leave open for me. I enjoy going in and out whenevr I want to and I sometimes sleep there. I have a chew bone I keep in there always and sometimes I hide treats and bits of food that falls on the floor and sometimes I go in and have a snack.

  26. cat_mom says:

    Hi there…
Loved reading your blog. You are SOOO cute! Your momma must be so in love with you.

  27. Lisa Ostrowercha says:

    Hi there,

My “Kaiser” is a Golden Retriever. He’s 11 years old and still loves his crate. That’s his place where he takes all of his treasures from the time he was a pup. Crates are wonderful and I highly recommend that everyone crate train their dog from a young age. It’s just like a den they would have in the wild. :)

  28. Leila Merosands says:

I love your blog, Reggie, keep up the good work, and keep having fun. I hope you’re really enjoying your great good luck in being a beautiful puppy. I’m glad you’re getting along with us two legged types too, some of us are pretty good at least. Enjoy your crate, and say hi to Nibble. My cat Jupiter says so too (he likes puppies).

    Radiant Blessings,
    Leila and Jupiter

  29. alice says:

    Hey its soo cute!!!!

  30. Benjamin says:

    Hey Reggie,
I wasn’t raised in a kennel or crate, as you call it. Never been caged in any way. My Mom feels bad that dogs are left primarily in crates. I have run of my house and my own private bed, toys, and fun things in my corner behind my mother’s chair. I don’t even go in a crate to the vet; I go by leash. You make your crate sound inviting. I guess it is just what we make of our living conditions. Mine couldn’t be better and I am a lucky dog. Peace to you and yours, Benjie (a contented Yorkie)

  31. Linda D. says:

So glad to hear you’re doing great Reggie! And much love to you and Nibble. Stay safe and cozy in your new home.

  32. judy says:

i am owned by 3 canines,a chinese pug,2 english bulldogs, they are my babies and precious to me,they all have a crate to call their own, they love to sleep in them but they do not have to if they do not want to, they are left open at all times,it makes them feel secure to have a place of their own,j

  33. Pete Catania says:

I hope the little guy will be happy and healthy in years to come and have a very long life.

  34. Debbie says:

My furkids love their crates too, although we refer to them as “condos”. Every kid should have his/her own bedroom…

  35. SPITHAS says:

    Hi Reggie,
I am SPITHAS - my Greek American parents gave me this name as they think that I am smarter than a “spark”, which in Greek is “spitha”!- I am a pure Cocker Spaniel, and we believe I will be 12 months old this month!
I was adopted back in July and my story is somehow similar
to yours ! I was found almost dead in a dumpster with a broken leg. NSAL operated on me , and my mommy and daddy say I am fine and I run and run like you in the parks and the stairs of the new home in Charlotte.
I had the best fun all these months, because we take long rides - I love snoozing at the back seat of the car- between NY and NC, until the new home will be ready for us!
I didnot like the crate and my mommy lets me sleep not only on my two beds but also on their chairs in their bedroom so I can always see that they are there close to me!
I do not only snack! My mommy is into healthy food and she cooks for me! and i eat all kinds of yummy healthy food full of vitamins, as she says.
I love the new home because it has a huge yard and I can run and play with daddy. I love my toys, and mommy says she is spoiling me with them and everytime she goes out she buys me a new one ! but I like to chew on them and play at home with daddy and mommy.See they have no kids and they say I am the son they did not have !
eee look its time to go out for “pipi” and daddy is waiting for me at the door !
talk to yaa soon , and keep up the exercise for your legs, daddy and mommy say that’s the thing for me !
    hugs and xxx
    Spithas!

  36. Dear Reggie,
Wow, I LOVE your blog! Thank you for telling us about your very important crate and your pal “nibble.” You are sooo cute and I’m looking forward to reading more on your blog, but please don’t bury “nibble” under the blankets because then your pal won’t be able to breathe!

  37. Lynnette says:

I have a nightmare story from purchasing a golden retriever that all started because I wanted to adopt and couldn’t because for this reason or another and always at the last minute was turned down. I was in a “puppy mill” known area and didn’t even know it. I had looked for two years atleast. I am so glad Reggie has found a home.

  38. Bruno says:

Hi Reggie! I’m a what do they call me?? um a “senior citizen” and my vet said I have them funny knees that kind a pop out from time to time too! Yep I been through lots in my time but I finally found a home, a nice home where I am really wanted and loved and now I get the pampering and care and love all of us fur babies deserve! I know your gonna be fine too Reggie my mommie makes blankies and sends them to NSAL and I want you to know I personally tested em out and decided they are soft and warm enuff for you and all your other furiends at the NSAL! Gotta go for my nite nite walk and snack an then its cuddle time in bed! I just love this time of day or night the best!

  41. Jean Arellano says:

I believe that this is the little guy that needed donations earlier last month. If this is the Reggie that I donated for could you give me an update on how he is doing? He’s so sweet looking…

  42. Martha says:

    Reggie,
Sounds like you have a great life. I hope that you always do. I have 3 rescued dogs too. They love having homes.
    Take care,

  43. Cynthia says:

we too have a puppy that was rescued. she is a little spoiled and has lots of love and toys. she especially likes daddys chair and blanket. we love her!!!!

  44. grace carrin says:

Hi Reggie - I read about your crate and you’re right - it is nice to have a place of your own. Your own room to decorate how you like. I don’t have a lovely little guy like you but I have nine little kitties. And I told them about you and they said to send you lots of hugs and licks. Their names are Rebeccah, Rocky, Miriam, Jedediah(she’s a girl despite the name), Chloe, Alexander, Jacob, Noah, and Eli. How are you doing? Did you have your surgery yet? We’re all praying for you because no fur person should have to suffer in any way as far as we’re concerned. We hope your legs get stronger and you can run and jump with the best of them. We all love you Reggie, take care! Grace and the kitties >^..^<

  48. Patricia Prior says:

Reggie is adorable. You just want to pick him up and hug and love him forever.
He reminds me of Bradley-he’s plucky just as Bradley is.
I so totally support what you do for these mini heart-breakers.
I wish I could afford me than the $25.00 a year that I give.
But if support and getting the word out is counted then believe me I am here for your organization always.
    Hugs to Reggie and Bradley

  49. Sally says:

I will be on your blog all the time to check you out. KIT sweetie!

  50. We donated already to help Reggie & just wanted to keep up on how he’s doing! He looks just like our little boy Jake when he was a pup, so precious! If you don’t mind, can you keep us updated on his condition & surgery status? Thanks so much & keep up the Great Work & keep taking such good care of this little guy, and all the others! We are so proud to support such a wonderful & caring cause!
